Atlantic City Electric’s Direct Install for Public Sector program makes it easy for public institutions, such as K–12 schools, community colleges, county facilities, townships, and municipalities, to upgrade their facilities with energy-efficient solutions. By working through a vetted network of trade allies, projects can move forward without the time and complexity of a competitive procure process. The result? Streamlined implementation, governance on pricing, lower costs, and lasting energy savings for your institution.

Financial Incentives Cover a Variety of Equipment Upgrades

  • Lighting retrofits, including fixtures, sensors, and controls
  • Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including Smart Thermostats
  • Commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration controls
  • Motors and variable frequency drives

Eligible Customers

Getting Started is Easy

If you are ready to get started with your energy efficiency project today, just follow the steps below:

  1. Check your eligibility. The Direct Install for Public Sector program is for Atlantic City Electric business customers with an average peak kilowatt demand of no more than 300 kW per month (Customers interested in replacing or controlling gas equipment will be subject to a 40,000 therms per year requirement confirmed via your gas provider’s utility bill.). Check your bill to see if you qualify. Contact us if you have questions on eligibility.

  2. Contact the dedicated authorized Public Sector Trade Allies for your location. They will complete a no-cost, on-site energy assessment and provide customized recommendations with detailed cost estimates and incentive estimates for ways to reduce your energy costs through energy efficiency equipment upgrades.

After the assessment, you will receive customized recommendations for ways to save more energy, as well as detailed cost estimates for any relevant energy efficiency improvement projects.

* Participation with a Public Sector Trade Ally is a program requirement.
