How to Participate for Contractors

Become a participating contractor

Before you can become a participating contractor there are several steps that need to be completed.

Step 1: Training and Certification
Have at least one staff person achieve Building Performance Institute (BPI) Building Analyst Certification and BPI Envelope Professional Certification by passing written and field tests. Learn more about the BPI certifications. Your company also will need to obtain and maintain U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Lead-Safe Certification.

Step 2: Required Equipment
Purchase or have available diagnostic equipment, such as a blower door, required of participating contractors to conduct assessments and sell comprehensive work effectively.

Step 3: Contractor Participation Agreement
Download, sign, and submit the Contractor Participation Agreement. Contractor status and participation are subject to the Utility Contractor Remediation Procedures. Email signed agreements to acewheshelp@clearesult.com. You can expect to hear back within 2 to 3 business days.

Step 4: Snugg Pro Energy Auditing & Productivity Platform
Learn to use the Snugg Pro Energy Auditing & Productivity Platform, a nationally recognized tool for estimating energy savings from proposed work, which helps you:

  • Produce professional reports for Atlantic City Electric residential customers.
  • Report evaluations and installed work for Atlantic City Electric's Whole Home Energy Solutions Program.
